What is the 'Turkish Get Up'?
The TGU is a whole-body movement performed against a resistance.
Nowadays, it's usually done with a kettlebell but variants with other implements (including barbells and fellow humans) were popular circus attractions well into the 1930s.
The Program
This ebook is a 4-week+ program based on the TGU intended for people whose lifestyle or professional occupation expose to long hours of sitting.
With this program, you will
- Practice one or two movements every time you take a bathroom break for 1 or 2 minutes.
- After the first week, keep a kettlebell around near the spot you leave to take your bathroom breaks (office chair, car seat, comfy couch, etc.).
The Fine Prints
And that's all there is to it.
At least, if you can picture yourself doing TGUs as part of your daily routine. No irony here: it is part of ours (but we still included a bonus routine, in case you get bored by the TGU).
